Calearo manufactures original equipment antenna systems and dependable aftermarket antennas to meet the standards of OE vehicle parts. The leading car tech firm produces antennas for all makes and models, as well as a range of automotive tech products, such as car radios, multimedia interfaces and dashcams.

Having spent a decade facilitating collaboration between automakers to develop stringent automotive standards, Calearo’s 50 engineers and technicians are dedicated to the firm’s continuous research and development, which enables Calearo to provide the newest technology. Calearo’s renowned R&D department, Ce.R.Ca, is one of the most advanced in Europe.

Calearo Timeline

Calearo… 

1957: was founded by Alessio Calearo, who originally produced bicycle bells.

1960: diversified its production by introducing car radio antennas. Calearo soon began to directly supply the automotive market.

1970: launched the first automatic motorised antennas.

1980: became recognised as a partner for original equipment products in the automotive industry.

1990: released the dual-function antenna, enabling the reception of telephone and radio signal.

2000: introduced the first ‘fin’ antenna, the Shark. This antenna enabled the reception of AM/FM, GPS and GSM signal.

2003: opened a production plant in Samorin, Slovakia.

2005: founded the Ce.R.Ca R&D research centre to test technologies and products. Today, the centre collaborates with international research centres and universities.

2009: acquired Diesis, a firm that builds digital transmission devices. Calearo also opened its first production plant outside Europe, in Tunisia.
