Having evolved out of motorsports and into modern-day passenger vehicles, FAI Autoparts manufactures over 3,000,000 car parts for over 100 vehicle models. FAI Autoparts' wide array of automotive parts spans from wheel bearings, steel and suspension parts and glow plugs to gaskets, oil seals, head bolts, lubricants and control cables.

FAI Autoparts Timeline

FAI Autoparts… 

1962: was established as Ian Walker Racing Ltd by renowned rally driver Ian Walker.

1970: began to transition into its new brand, Blue Flash.

1974: released its engine reconditioning systems for road cars.

1988: expanded into FAI Autoparts, which stands for Flexatherm Automotive International.

1990: added the first of numerous MLS gaskets to its product range.

1994: partnered with Goodyear Engineered Product as the UK distributor. FAI Autoparts maintained this partnership until 2012.

2000: expanded its premises from 2,250 square feet to over 67,500 feet. FAI Autoparts also received its ISO accreditation in 2000.

2002: launched its first website.

2006: introduced the first laser-welded head gaskets to its product range. FAI Autoparts also became the European Lucas Diesel distributor.

2007: started listing its products on Tecdoc and soon became an A-rated data supplier.

2010: released a range of timing chain kits that led FAI Autoparts to become the leader in aftermarket supply.

2013: launched a range of window regulators.

2016: sold 1,000,000 steering parts within a single year.

2017: introduced new product ranges, including oil control valves, sump pans and torsional vibration dampers.

2018: won the Queen’s Award for its outstanding growth in international trade. FAI Autoparts then went on to win The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 award in the same year.

2019: won the International Track 200 award again, further celebrating international growth.
