From steering and suspension car parts to wheel bearings, cooling parts, cables and turbo hoses, First Line is one of the world’s leading aftermarket car parts suppliers. Each product is ISO accredited and handled in line with First Line’s quality and environmental standards.

First Line Timeline

First Line… 

1983: was established under the name Filter International by Pete Joyner and John Madden, who set up the company to distribute Mann and Hummel car filters.

1987: expanded its product range to also sell Reinz Gaskets. At this point, Pete and John rebranded the company as First Line.

1988: relocated to a 16,000/1,500 sq ft warehouse in Bicester, allowing space for new product lines: brake discs, brake drums, boot kits and water pumps.

1992: launched its market-leading steering and suspension range. This range has since grown from 1,000 to 8,500 car parts.

1997: was bought by Finelist, who could offer capital injections to grow the product range yet further.

2000: was bought back by Pete and John, who focused on improving the company’s customer service solutions.

2005: introduced its now-famous yellow and green brand colours.

2006: bought Borg & Beck and merged its product portfolio.

2012: relocated to a purpose-built 172,000/16,000 sq ft facility in Banbury and introduced the widely anticipated Key Parts brand.
