1852: designed and manufactured the first coil spring.

1935: began to expand rapidly, both organically and through acquisitions.

1989: was acquired by Beijer Alma AB, an industrial investment group.

Kilen has expanded further over the years and is now amongst the largest spring manufacturing groups on the planet.
