The self-regulating ceramic DuraSpeed® allows for a post-glow time of up to 15 minutes at up to 1?200°C with the engine running. This means the cold-idling noise is barely audible and the harmful emissions are significantly reduced. The intermediate glow phase supports the periodic regeneration of the diesel particle filter and prevents the formation of smoke during load changes in the engine cooled when in overrun mode.
