Jubilee…

1930s: welcomed E.B Lumley Robinson as the new company owner, who expanded the range of Jubilee clips to meet rising demand.

1940s: appointed E.B Lumley Robinson’s youngest son John as the Managing Director.

1950s: became Jubilee Components Ltd, which manufactured even higher quantities of Juliee clips to meet ever-growing demand.

1960s: established L Robinson & Co (Plating) Ltd to improve faster, high-quality plating. During the sixties, the cross-channel hovercraft, Hawk training, Harrier jump jets and Concorde were manufactured with Jubilee clips.

1970s: began to export to the Japanese market.

1980s: welcomed HM Queen Elizabeth II to the headquarters. During the eighties, Jubilee was also awarded BS5750 for its production systems and John Jennings became the company director.

1990s: introduced threaded banding in the original Jubilee clips. The stainless steel worm drive range was approved by Lloyds Register in 1996. Plus, Jubilee expanded its range of hose clips to include o-clips, high torque clips and superclamps.

2000s: relocated to a 4,000 square foot site to accommodate all technical and manufacturing facilities in one location. During the noughties, the Lloyd's Register also approved the Light Range Clips in 304 and the Original Range clips in 316 stainless steel.

2010s: appointed Ian Jennings, the great grandson of the original Jubilee clip inventor, as the joint managing director, making him the fourth generation of the family to manage the company. Jubilee also acquired Elms Lightning Fasteners to expand the firm’s product range.
